11am (okay, we ran late, 11.30am). We packed up the car, set the sat nav and started our venture to Kent. It's only an hour's drive from our house but it feels miles away.
We didn't do a whole lot apart from do what you're suppose to do at weekends; eat, have late nights, go for walks, afternoon drinks in the pub and eat more food.
The week was a long one at work and so being able to leave it all behind was just what was needed.
A weekend in Kent meant no noise, a chance to get other people's opinions on future plans, fresh air and no worries. A perfect little break, until it took two hours in the pouring rain to drive home but oh well- you can't have it all.
