Sunday Stroll

With the sunnier weather and life events of late it's made me want to get outside more. This is hard for me as I'm quite openly an indoorsy person. Don't get me wrong, when I'm out I'm really happy that I did- the outdoors I do love- it's just getting the motivation to get up and go. It's now a goal of mine: be outside more- walks, bike rides, beach visits, just spending time out in the evening in the sun.

With all that being said, Alex and I jumped on the idea of a Sunday morning walk before he had to go to work.

It's no lie what my ideal Sunday would be (add on to that being out in beer gardens during the summer months) but we really don't get to do it all that often. Alex is often rota'd in to work Sundays and although it's a yay to have money it's a definite bummer not to be able to spend more time together.

So this past Sunday we condensed an ideal Sunday into an ideal Sunday morning; we had a mini lie in, had breakfast and headed out for a walk.

We went to our local bluebell woods; we were hoping that the ground would be carpeted with a sea of purple but only a couple were peeping out. We already have another morning walk planned in a couple of weeks when it should be awash with them. Even when they aren't out in full bloom I just love this little patch.

Do you guys remember the story of the little girls who had everyone believe that they had photographic evidence that fairies were real? Well, when I was younger I fully believed that story and whenever we went for a walk in bluebell woods I secretly hoped to find the fairies there. To this day there is something so magical about these woods, that I just can't wait to come back in a few weeks time.
