Holiday for 2

Holiday for 2

:: WHAT TOOK SO LONG? ::

That's right, we did it. A and I finally booked a holiday abroad. We've had weekends away and time off but never abroad. Cray I know, how can you be together for so long but not go on holiday together? The simple answer is life. We were at university, we were living in an expensive city, we were finding work, we moved back to Devon. Life sprung up and hit us some curve balls and holidays had to take a back seat so we could pay rent, feed ourselves, y'know, the important things.

But now times have changed. We're both in steady work and feel happier than ever. More importantly we feel we can holiday without the enormous pressure of bills, rent etc leading up to and coming back from holiday. Next year we are making it a year of travel; to see where we go and for how long. Something we've missed out on before. My family has already mentioned a trip to New York next May again and who am I to turn down NYC?! But before then, it's mine and A's holiday. I'm returning and A is visiting Iceland for the first time! I know it seems like I visit Iceland and NYC only but I can cope with that until I book a few trips in between ;)

But Iceland and with A; I'm so excited. We're already planning different things to do. Our main thing this time around is the south coast. To see different waterfalls and the black beach. It's just a beautiful country that I can't wait to explore a different side of it. The countdown to November is on. Thermals at the ready, Iceland here we come!
