A Morning by the Lake

A Morning by the Lake

I wrote a while back about making the most of things and we are still carrying on with that tradition.

We've been loving getting out and about and enjoying the fresh air. For me there's nothing better then heading out in the crisp, cooler weather. It was still on the warmer side when we went out the other week (Oh Indian Summer it's time for you to leave) but you could still feel the change on the air. The acorns are on the trees and the leaves are turning brown and starting to fall.

We spent our Sunday morning where I have a lot of childhood memories. School trips in the summer and winter walks with my mum and our cocker spaniel, Poppy when I was about 5 (maybe even younger). Alex had never been (I was a little bit outraged and sad that he'd missed this place as a youngster). It was a perfect Sunday morning strolling down memory lane and discussing our own future plans and the things we want to do.

These kinds of mornings and walks make me so excited when we talk about what's next. I'm pretty sure we cover everything from our Monday plans to what we'd like to be doing next year and 10 years time.

So Autumn if you could get a wiggle on so I can pull on my wellies and my woolly hat I'd be pretty grateful as I'm ready for those country walks and chats.
