Here's the thing: I don't really like pumpkin spice things. In fact I'm not totally obsessed with Halloween. Yes I'm going against every blogger, every 20-something and saying I'm just not into it. Autumn yes. Throw all the coats, scarfs and berry lipsticks at me, I'm all over Autumn, but pumpkin spice Halloween, I'm alright ta.
I've tried to get on the bandwagon- pumpkin spice cupcakes- I've made them; pumpkin spice ice cream- not your best move B&J, pumpkin spice brownies, meh.
My Halloween traditions involve something on the tele, maybe a movie. When I was younger it was Halloweentown. I sometimes still subject A to watch it, as it is a true classic but if I go festive it's using The Nightmare Before Christmas, mainly because of the Christmas element. Because, let's face it, Christmas is the only holiday we should be getting on board with at this time of year.
And so apart from a little Halloween baking for co workers, I'm sitting this one out and waiting for the big guns to arrive. To literally wait for Santa Claus to come to town; with no PSL, but with tea, scarfs, big fluffy socks and boots. Because Autumn, you know I love you. I'm just not a fan of October 31st, happy Halloween guys!
